What is PlayOn Theatre?
Unlike traditional performance training in Canada, PlayOn Theatre is a school solely focused on supporting artists developing new work. Our students are artists with something to say, who have a seed of an idea, a full script, perhaps a design. Our teachers are seasoned professionals who know how to bring ideas, scripts, and designs to life onstage. Based out of Toronto, Canada and helmed by award winning teacher and artist Adam Lazarus, the school fosters artistic risk, experimentation and innovation. It is a space entrenched in the wildness of the imagination and founded on the rules set forth by the rigour of play and an unwavering quest for a performance that boasts the virtuosity of the artist.
